ART DIRECTION | WEB DESIGN | PRINT DESIGN
Since their founding in 1961, Texas Ballet Theater has evolved from a small regional ballet company to the internationally recognized organization it is today. They attract some of the finest dancers and choreographers to North Texas. Texas Ballet Theater originally came to us wanting to rebrand with a new logo and a new website. From there we had the opportunity to come up with a new look and feel for each new ballet season. Each new seasonal creative direction was then translated into a luxury brochure for donors, as well as a leave behind fold over piece for show attendees. After two seasons of working alongside the creative director on these pieces, I became the lead creative on projects. In addition to print pieces, I was also tasked with reskinning their website to reflect the new creative. For the 2018/2019 season, the chosen direction was dancers interacting with words that reflected the theme of each ballet, while bringing in textures and colors based on themes and costumes. I directed the photoshoot keeping in mind the layout of each hero page and how the dancers would interact with the words. Photography by the amazing Steven Visneau.
